Best ScanDisk Software

Does anyone know of a great scandisk software like the old scandisk in Windows 98? Or, is Microsoft Scandisk still the best?

I want to do a thorough low level scan of a drive, and if it finds errors I want it to mark the segments as unusable. And I'd really LOVE to be able watch it like the old Windows version from the Floppy.

Any advice appreciated.

i just use chkdsk

i have a batch file that does all the drives so dont need to do them individually

but if you want a graphical front end try CheckDiskGUI

or think easeus partition manager free version can do it using the check partition option

I'm having a mandated restart, but I think CheckDiskGUI might be exactly in order. I'll return after a while.
