Best thing to do is keep the power consumption down so the fans dont have to work hard. Sound proofing foam is ok but put it in an overclocked gaming system and you will just cook it. Just keep the power consumption low and buy some decent fans and maybe a fan controller.
You're right, but the reason I want to soundproof it is because I have read online that the graphics card I've ordered is very loud. Could I just use a bit of sound proofing foam to reduce noise, without over heating? Where can I buy sound proofing foam for PCs?
