I just had a friend build me a the following computer and just received it last night

Thermaltake Commander MS-I snow ATX Mid-tower

WD BLue 1tb 7,200 RPM SAta Hard Drive

EVGA 500 Watt 80+ 500 Watt ATX supply

Intel Core i5 4670 3.4 Ghz socket LGA processor

Gigabyte GA-Z97x-Gaming 3 LGA 1150 Motherboard

Crucial m500 120GB Sata

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3-1600 (2 4gb Modules)

I do not really game and will never be a hardcore gamer, but last night I downloaded Red Alert 1 and the graphics were kinda messed up. I would just like a video card that can handle some games......budget around $100....

Thank you in advance ladies and gentlemen!

Solution
650 for $60 is a normal used price for that class of card, it's a good one to get for that range and will enable your system to run pretty much any game out in good settings.
You can run Red Alert easily on the onboard i5 video. Are all the drivers installed? Did you check the in-game video settings to make sure they are not on low and match your monitor resolution?

If you checked things and still want faster video performance, the above mentioned 250x is great for your system. You can even go to a nVidia GT640 or a Radeon 240 and save about $30 although you will have less flexibility in what games you can play and at what settings.
