So I have a Lenovo laptop with specs:

  • CPU: Intel Celeron CPU n2830 @2.16GHz (2 CPU), ~2.2GHz

  • 2048mb RAM

  • Intel(R) HD Graphics Display

And I am doing web development running on windows 7 32-bit. My problem is that I just formatted and installed everything and it is still very slow because yes, my RAM is just 2GB. I tried finding for a 4GB one but it's really hard to find a Lenovo RAM and my laptop has only a single memory slot.

Is a SSD suggestable too? Will it improve my laptop's performance? Or should I try finding a new RAM?

Any help would be much appreciated.

If loading boot times are not the main issue then the RAM will make the system more responsive overall.
The RAM does not need to be lenovo branded. Any RAM with the proper specs and timings will work.
which model lenovo do you have?

Thank you! Will check it out.

By the way, is this also fine? Just checking out because this ships faster in my country.

Okay thanks. Will order the one nearest to my country first and then I'll try the things you listed.
