BIOS and Windows cant detect my 2 gb ram!

Damage, Manufacture Defect, Corrosion, and as I stated "try to clean the connections."

First blow-out the 2nd DIMM/RAM slot - look for bent pins, repair. Next, try to take the old RAM and use a Q-Tip swab moisten the RAM connectors with Isopropyl or Rubbing alcohol and insert the RAM then remove, clean with the moistened Q-Tip and repeat the process 2-4 times.
