So I was having issues with my PC, it was crashing after booting into windows and being on for a few minutes - and the USB slots weren't all working, maybe that could've been the cause of the crashes I don't know. So I attempted to update my BIOS, I followed a tutorial on how to update it using a USB drive, booted it into BIOS so I could do the update, and around 28% the PC crashes. Freezes up. Since this incident, I cannot get the computer to POST at all. It will turn on, fans running - but Windows doesn't boot. The monitor will say no - signal. I've tried clearing CMOS by using a screwdriver on the clear CMOS (JBAT1) jumper pin, I've replaced the CMOS battery, tried turning it on without the CMOS battery in. Tried starting the PC without memory sticks in, that didn't do much. I'm running out of options, I want my PC back but I'm worried the motherboard is bricked. Nothing works, it won't even boot into safe-mode as far as I can tell. What are my options?

Windows 10
MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition Motherboard
Radeon R9 280X Graphics Card
AMD FX-8320 CPU (absolute trash I know, I built this PC with my father back in 2013ish)
Can't remember the memory however I can figure it out if needed
Old 500g HDD + Samsung EVO 250gb SSD

What are my options?

If you didn't catch that, then you'll a CH4341A BIOS programmer tool(kit). IMHO, you should let that platform retire at this point and stop creating multiple threads on the same topic.

You're awesome, yeah I just watched a video where LinusTechTips recommended that same device, took me forever to finally hear about it though I was looking in all the wrong places. And too be fair, I've dug through multiple posts, so if anything I'm glad I made the post because you pointed me to the CH4341A - when you say let that platform retire you mean my PC? My intent isn't too make threads on the same topic, I looked through a few but it's a bit difficult when I don't know what I'm looking for. I built this PC with my father and now that he's passed away I'm left fixing it myself, this was the one place he mentioned.

That post you're referring to wasn't mine it was my fathers, I didn't even know he made a post here.

Do you need to remove the BIOS chip in order to use the CH4341A? In the post that you linked that my father made the responder mentions desoldering the chip from the board, can you not do this without removing the chip? I'm not too experienced
