I am attempting to update my bios to allow support for my new ryzen 5800x. My motherboard is an Asrock x570 Phantom Gaming itx. I flashed the bios like normal to 2.60 and did not get a boot with the 5800x. The system still boots with my 2700 in the system however. From reading the bios update it states that using a matisse cpu requires you to do it a specific way to get it to work. Which led me to use the instructions from asrock here. When doing so I get an error of “ae- Error: BIOS doesn’t support OEMCMD function.” Would this error possibly be due to my bios already being on 2.60? Would it be a bad idea to downgrade to 2.30 and then flash it using those instructions?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I tried googling the error to no avail but that could be due to me not knowing much about bios stuff. Thanks for the help!
