I know this to be a dumb question but out of curiosity would the bios gpu of GTX 1050ti 4gb work for the GTX 1050 4gb variant ? They got almost the same specs anyways..Has anyone tried doing this on the 4gb GTX 1050 gpu variant?

if you think that a bios update will activate the OC condition of "ti" then I would suggest that you not try anything like that.

Reasons for this is because even though the two cards are similar, they are very different in parts composure and parts selection. Even if the card would be identical to a ti Version (which it is not), you would still have no reason to think that your 1050 would be able to run at the ti speeds without crashing, that's because of component restriction.

simple answer, no.. I don't know if it would, but at the same time, I wouldn't risk ruining my card. I would just wait for the GTX2xxxx and buy something better (later this year)
