Hi, so I built the below computer:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2bnN9W

I'm sure most items are working. The power light turns on. The CPU, GPU, and case fans all spin fine. I checked the checklist that all of my connections look secure, and whatever clicks in is clicked in. My monitor works for my other PC just fine. What am I missing?

Thanks!

Wait why? I would figure the (DVI in this case) would better-work first on the motherboard, seeing as video card drivers haven't been installed?

When you first install your GPU, there are drivers on it pre loaded but they are outdated.
Also when you have a GPU in your system, your motherboard video output ports cease to work.

Thanks for the info above. I'm actually not sure what the BIOS key is for this motherboard, but I'm not even prompted for it. The monitor stays dark and after a minute or two says there's no connection.

Remove your GPU from the motherboard and use the video ports on the motherboard. If that works then you may have a faulty GPU.

Still nothing, should I try reinstalling the CPU, see if it's all aligned well? I'm not sure what else to do.

Are there any debug lights on your motherboard?

Your motherboard says on its manufacturers page, it supports only DDR4 2133mhz memory.
You have 2400mhz, this could be a problem.

I didn't see any lights and the manual doesn't mention any. About the RAM - I noticed that too, unfortunately only after my purchase, though pcpartpicker didn't mention a problem. And I'm checking what other people are saying - they say that any higher RAM speed won't matter, the motherboard will just use the lower of the two speeds.

This guy - https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/4tob1h/h110mitxac_motherboards_builtin_wifi_not_working/ - has even faster RAM with the same motherboard so this shouldn't be a problem?

Yes maybe not.

Other problems could be a faulty memory stick, CPU is unlikely to be faulty but that's also a possibility.

Then what's left to try, besides reinstalling the CPU?

Most probably the memory stick if everything else is fine. You will have to order another one.

The parts are compatible with each other. Make sure everything is connected correctly like in this video: https://youtu.be/X-czbvPtzjg. Maybe try putting the ram stick in the other memory slot. If it still doesn't work it can be a defective memory stick or the motherboard.

So I think trying the other RAM slot made it work, but now I'm having the problem that my keyboard and mouse work in BIOS but not on thw Windows CD or USB installers I tried!

Have you tried every USB port? Try USB 2.0 instead of 3.0
