Hi, I recently got an RX 480 by xfx. I bought that to replace my gtx 1050.
I decided to plug both graphics cards in, and use the 1050 to manage the lateral monitors.

The problem is that if I put the 480 in the 1st pcie slot and the 1050 in the other, the bios post message doesn't show up. The screens remain black until the login screen.

If i swap the cards, everything works fine, but i can't do that due to case space and airflow problems (the 480 in the 2nd slot easily gets around 80 °C, while in the 1st slot it gets around 60 ° C maximum)

My PC:
CPU : AMD FX-8370 4.4 GHz
RAM: 14Gb DDR3
MOBO: MSI SLI Krait 970a

Mixing AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards is usually more frustration than gain. It isn't recommended.

I know that, but I can't understand why swapping the cards makes that work. I also tried replacing the 1050 with an HD 5670 and it was worse, the displays gave no signal when I was inside windows...
I know for sure the 5670 works
