Question BIOS question

I recently got an MSI x470 gaming m7 ac mobo from amazon installed all fine. However I find that the BIOS installed is an AMI (american megatrends) 1.A0 02/08/2019 BIOS and not MSI... However maybe its coincidence that MSI has a driver for BIOS out at the same date? Anyway AMI offers no support for drivers from what I can see from their website. Or could I just get the latest MSI BIOS.

Any ideas?

You get the BIOS updates from MSI, not from AMI (they just manufactured the BIOS chip itself).

I don't know which version I got so how can I update it if I don't know which one I got? The version msinfo32 says I got doesn't correspond with any on the MSI driver support.

open the case, look at it, somewhere it says the model number

sometimes cpu-z identifies properly the motherboard, try that one too

I know what the motherboard is I say in my first post lol.. I meant I don't know what MSI bios version I got the one that msinfo32 says I got doesn't match up to any on the support site for the board.

Just get the most recent one and install it. Not a big deal either way, if the system is working well now.

Don't you have to do it in stages like the one just after the one you got or does the final one have all the updates from previous ones?
