Hi all,

question is, is it possible to reinstall the exact same BIOS version that is already functioning and properly running on my MB? If so, do I proceed with the method used for updating the bios, as described (in this case) on the ASRock's site (download the needed bios version on the flash drive and install it through ASRock's Bios installer)? Does this cause any damage?
Sholud I try some other method with the intent of (re)installing the same version of the bios?

Thanks in advance

What actual problem are you trying to solve?

Yes of course by why ? BIOS corrupted ? That's only reason I can think of.

I have been given a second hand PC, so doing a clean install of Win, bios as well, just as a safety precaution. It also works normally on current version, so I thought of no updates to newer version.
Then that might be a valid reason.

Can you do it depends on if the manufacturer allows.
Overwriting the same version? Probably no problem.

Thanks for the answer. No, reason is a second hand PC. Doing a fresh installation of bios and Windows as a safety precaution. May I ask, have you ever tried doing the same, and have the results been as expected?
Unless it is corrupted, that is still no reason to flash same version, nothing would change, everything is in CMOS memory and can be reset. Better update to most recent compatible version.
