Question Bios update help please ?

So someone updated the BIOS motherboard and i was there when he did, it it was a successful update it finished and when it restarted it shut down turned on again shut down and again turned on, but no signal on the monitor waited like 20 mins then i pressed the power button to turn it off, the keyboard doesnt turn on but mouse yes it always shuts down twice then stays that way without monitor signal



Things iv tried

-cleared cmos

-removed graphics card

-made a bootable usb drive (saw on some forums about it )

-checked cpu

-removed all my ssd and hdd

-removed all the usb cables from behind

-tried hdmi,d-sub,display port,dvi-d

Tried both mb and graphic card slots about it

-changed psu

-changed ram dim slot


In the motherboard cpu and dram leds flash but vga doesnt and then it restarts, also cpu fan spins.



Cpu specs

-i5 8400

-8gb ddr4 2400mhz

-msi h310m pro vh

-gtx 1080

-cooler master 750w

Try shutting it off, unplugging the power cord, remove the mobo battery, hold down the power button for 30 seconds, put the mobo battery back in, plug the power cable back in and try it again.

If it still boot loops then your board is probably gone. Despite it updating successfully, if you can't even access the bios anymore then there's no way to save your board after doing all this.

So there is nothing left to do with the board apart from throwing it to the trash ?

Was your PC working before the BIOS update?

What is the version number of the BIOS update? The latest version on the MSI website for your motherboard is 7B33v1A.

Yes the motherboard was working fine but someone updated it without my permission, he said he downloaded the latest version

How long have you had the motherboard? If it's still under warranty, you could maybe RMA it? If the update BIOS process indicated it was 'successful', then it should work.

It's worth a shot (if it's still within the warranty period).
