I have an AMD X4 860K processor and I was looking for motherboards that are around $50 and I stumbled upon the MSI A78M-E35, a link to the motherboard will be below. Anyways I added the motherboard to my PCPartPicker list and it said it was compatible but I needed a BIOS update. So I need help figuring out how I would update the BIOS before I buy the motherboard. Thanks for your help.

Go to the MSI website. Look under support for BIOS updates for that specific board. You should also find instructions there. Download and print the instructions so you'll have them when the machine isn't running. Typically, you just down load the file and follow the instructions.

I went to msi's website then went to support, I chose motherboard for support but only things like "Download and Manuel",
"CPU Support" and "Warranty" came up. Nothing I saw in motherboard support had anything to do with BIOS. I know it's a lot to ask but could you leave a link to the BIOS support page?
