So I am trying to overclock my pentium g3420 just to get some more boost out of it (I have a Asus H81m-e Motherboard) anyway when I try to change the core ratio to multiply it it constantly sets it back to the default of 3.2Ghz. Does anybody know how I can fix this? Thanks!

Solution
you won't be able to change the ratio on that cpu, it's locked.
With a pentium G3258 (anniversary) it is possible, if your motherboard supports it.
A H81 chipset usually does not support it, but some do. I have a Pentium G3258 on a MSI H81M-P33, and i managed to clock my cpu to 4.2 Ghz.
