[citation][nom]JMcEntegart[/nom]I went to see that recently. Great movie![/citation]

Yeah, it was good. Definitely worth the $4.75 per ticket I paid. Same w\ Avatar.

piracy will never go away because its cheaper than itunes and such (free) and readily available, although real pirates wear eye patches and DONT download from torrents

[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]I really dont care if people torrent these movies, at the end of the day the best experience for a film is on an huge theatre screen.I torrent, I torrent huge amounts of stuff, but mainly TV episodes. I used to do films but after a while you realise that nothing can compare to the silver screen.[/citation]

you must be doing something wrong, i prefer a large screen in the privacy of my own home

[citation][nom]thackstonns[/nom]car payment 350 or 6 movies? 1000 morgage or 20 movies. yep to damn expensive.[/citation]

6 * 50 = 300 not 350

[citation][nom]hillarymakesmecry[/nom]It's wrong, it's illegal, it's imoral and it costs the true consumers more money.[/citation]

Hahaha. New product for apple. The "iMoral". They sell you morals or something. Their slogan would be like "It would be immoral not to buy the iMoral"

[citation][nom]sloth2004[/nom]Think about Avatar, People would pay money to see the movies if they are good, but in most cases, those STUPID MOVIES just rob us. They charged us stealing, can we charge them robbing?[/citation]
They didn't rob me for Avatar3D (Although my pocket felt a lot lighter after paying 2 x $26 tickets because Australia is overpriced). I loved the movie!!!

[citation][nom]hillarymakesmecry[/nom]Pirates suck. I hate having to pay more for everything because you punks think it's ok to steal. That's right, steal. I put you all on the same level as the guy who walks in Walmart, cracks open a DVD case and walks out the front door.Don't give me the whole "If they made good movies for a good price we wouldn't steal". You'd steal crap if it was 25 cents, because you're criminals. It's wrong, it's illegal, it's imoral and it costs the true consumers more money.Don't be a pirate. Use Redbox, Netflix or hit up the dollar theater.[/citation]

Someone's a wee bit butthurt.

Anyhow, I'll even admit to pirating music and games. Sure, it sounds like a typical excuse from anybody that pirates, but I usually end up buying whatever I ended up pirating because I get the full package (plus I just feel like I legitimately own it)

Also, regardless of pirating, movies will STILL make TONS of money from people who see it in theaters or buy it on DVD. Popular music will STILL make good money (you're a really sad SOB if you steal music from an artist who really needs every single album sale)

You people that think a screener or TS is anywhere near watchable as the real thing are idiots.

Its like walking to the back of a Walmart, rummaging through the trash to find DVDs that were discarded because they were broken in half during shipping, and taking those DVDs. If Walmart sold screeners they would be out of business.

It always amazes me how many ways people justify theft. I'll steal it then buy it if I like it. You are a thief. They charge too much for the crappy movies they make in Hollywood. I'll watch a pirated copy, then buy it if I like it. You are a thief. They charge too much, and it isn't right! So I will steal it because they aren't entitled to be compensated for their product. You are a thief. Some people are so stupid these days. They only will pay for what they think is 'fair', and steal the rest. Somehow, these people think they are entitled to entertainment, and that it should be provided at a quality level and price they think is acceptable. Otherwise, it is okay to steal it, because if they wanted me to pay for it, they would make it cheaper, and better! It is truly pathetic. Nobody owes you a darn thing. They can charge as much as they want for it, and make it of any quality they want. You don't like it, don't buy it. They will feel it in the bottom line eventually. They will respond, or fail.

I love how ever times Toms posts an article about piracy there is a huge argument about it.

[citation][nom]acecombat[/nom]They didn't rob me for Avatar3D (Although my pocket felt a lot lighter after paying 2 x $26 tickets because Australia is overpriced). I loved the movie!!![/citation]

And I thought the $11 bucks I paid to see Avatar in #D was alot.

[citation][nom]the_krasno[/nom]Pirate the movie, if you like it, buy the DVD. Plain simple, that's what I do with videogames! Which is good, because I will never make the mistake of paying to play "Iron Man", but I did buy both Bioshocks[/citation]

I wouldn't even take the time to pirate Bioshock let alone pay money for it. I played about 3 min of the demo and gave up on it.

watched book of eli today, it was great, who knew he was blind!!!
waiting for a 720p/1080p rip of avatar, i havent seen it yet, but if al the buzz is correct, i dont want to spoil my first xperience with a cam rip.

[citation][nom]PhantomTrooper[/nom]I wouldn't even take the time to pirate Bioshock let alone pay money for it. I played about 3 min of the demo and gave up on it.[/citation]

hated bioshock, plasmids and all that yuck, i never even beat the part with the guy in the chair, i tried for a few days then gave up, id been thinking of giving up for a while, but that was like a sign

[citation][nom]xaira[/nom]waiting for a 720p/1080p rip of avatar, i havent seen it yet, but if al the buzz is correct, i dont want to spoil my first xperience with a cam rip.[/citation]
You should see it in 3D, personally i wouldnt want to spoil my first experience with a HD rip when 3D is the alternative...

[citation][nom]captaincharisma[/nom]so you are saying you have 100+ inch screen in your living room?
FAIL.[/citation]
1080p projector on a 102 inch screen to be exact and considering how cheap projectors are these days... captaincharisma = EPIC FAIL

so your that guy who gives away endings for movies no one saw yet lol :)

LOL i never knew 13" tv's could be considered 102" LOL

Hmmm, seems they might be on to something with Avatar, considering the popularity of the film and the fact that its only 6th on the list, having it in 3D seems to make it less attractive to pirate.

I wonder if this will start a new trend.

what was the point of this article? if you dont condone piracy what is the point of checking in to see the top 10 downloaded movies?

i think you need to get better stories for the site, less filler. especially the kind that promotes illegal activity.

[citation][nom]enzo matrix[/nom]Hahaha. New product for apple. The "iMoral". They sell you morals or something. Their slogan would be like "It would be immoral not to buy the iMoral"[/citation]

You didn't really say anything, but the iMoral is ingenious! lol --really had me huckling over here...

[citation][nom]captaincharisma[/nom]so your that guy who gives away endings for movies no one saw yet lol[/citation]

Damn, I was thinking the same thing...what bs, huh??? I'll steer clear of his comments in the future...

Thanks, Xaira! Was actually planning to take my lady to see that tomorrow... My brother hyped me up about it and I practically begged him not to tell me about it... Wow...all that begging for nothing...

Ha! Vote down the guy who points out the theft-ready mindset of those today! Love it.
