[SOLVED] Black lines/artifacts on Siege with an RX 5600 XT

I’m getting black lines on my screen while playing Siege, but only on some menus while moving the mouse. I did a quick Google search and apparently this happened with some Vega cards about a year ago. My 5600 XT is brand new, so I don’t think it could be a hardware issue. Just changed to AMD from Nvidia so I’m pretty new to troubleshooting with them.

Is anyone else having the same issue? Is it a driver issue?

DDU your drivers and install them again, if that doesnt work i would just wait for amd to patch this

Yes. But I’ve been having a lot of issues, not just this. PC has crashed several times, feels slow. And all of this since I installed the GPU. I ordered the 2060 KO Ultra, and will return this one, see if that solves the problem.

I’m thinking that’s my issue. I have a prebuilt PSU and motherboard. Want to upgrade those, but I ain’t sure if a regular PSU and Micro ATX motherboard will fit my case. My system is a prebuilt I’m slowly upgrading. It’s an HP Omen Obelisk 875-0034.

That's probably your issue. I dont see why the PSU wouldn't fit, you can just pop in a standard form factor one, I recommend a 550w-650w 80+ bronze/gold unit from SeaSonic, EVGA, or Corsair; all are reputable brands.

Wouldn’t I need a better motherboard for that as well? For good power delivery?

No the motherboard does not dictate power delivery to the GPU. If you are not overclocking your CPU you have nothing to worry about.

You'll be fine, as long as your happy with your current CPU, you don't need to upgrade or change your motherboard.

That PSU is definitely an issue, but the black lines/artifacts are driver related. My rx 5700 works fine in every circumstance except in siege where I get those artifacts but only in menus, like you said. It doesn’t bother me since it doesn’t affect gameplay and the only thing to do is wait for driver updates

I just bought a new PSU. Hope that fixes the issues. I was also experiencing random crashes in my PC (it restarted itself). I read that maybe my PSU isn’t delivering enough power to the other components, so I hope this new PSU fixes that.

You could also try driver version 19.12.3 its what i run on my RX 5700 XT and its rock solid
