That's noy alyx, that's Dr. Judith Mossman. You surely can see the
difference between the two.

Sounds like a bug. She's supposed to wait until you enter the elevator,
at which point she closes the door and the elevator starts to descend.
If when you enter the elevator none of this happens, go to the main
menu, click New Game and click on the chapter "Black Mesa East" to start
the map again. A quicker alternative might be to load the most recent
save/autosave, but if the map is stuffed a full reload via New Game may
be necessary.

BTW: It's a nice feeling to buy legit, isn't it. That's why we have jobs.

Hmm. So, you walk into the security hangar, the smoke and laser scan
starts with Judith talking to you, you follow her through a door, she
opens the elevator, you walk into the elevator. Does she close the door?
Does she even bother to try to press the button to close the door?

i do all that, but the door doesn`t close, she just stops talking, just
tryed the game again and its the same

I had the same problem. Found the answer at the forum at Halflife2.net

Symptom: In Half Life 2, when you reach the fifth chapter (Black Mesa East)
you get stuck trying to go down the elevator, the character: Dr.Mossman
doesn't get in the elevator and just stands there.

Cause: Contrary to what most people have been thinking, the bug is not
caused because you have an illegal version of the copy of Half Life 2. Many
users who have bought the original game disc are facing the exact same
problem. The problem is most likely caused by a glitch, which doesn't
execute the proper AI Scripting for the character, thus causing nothing to
happen.

Solution: The solution to this problem isn't quite complicated as one may
think. To fix the problem, walk into the elevator and press the F6 and F9
Keys one after the other. If it doesn't work try moving to various locations
inside the elevator and then pressing the keys. Remember, first press the F6
and then press the F9 Key. Keep doing this until the problem is fixed. I
have tried this solution on various copies and various systems and they all
fix the problem just fine! Happy Gaming!

Interesting solution. Presumably you quicksave by pressing F6 while
still in the elevator, then when you quickload with F9 the game will
detect the need to run the close-elevator script, which it wasn't
detecting before. I've never had that problem, but at least it has a
workaround.

Well, it wouldn't be a Half-life game without a nice elevator bug. ;-)

Remember to keep jumping as the elevator moves 🙂

more particularly, make sure you're not touching the floor when it
starts moving, and as it comes to a stop at the bottom.

You can have only two of the following
three qualities when developing a product:
cheap, fast or good. You can produce something
cheap and fast, but it won't be good,
good and fast, but it won't be cheap,
good and cheap, but it won't be fast.
