Question Black screen after DDU please help

Hi ,

I have an Rx 580 and my driver's wouldn't update to the latest version from the adrenaline software neither I could update the drivers downloading them from the website.

I decided to use ddu and uninstal the drivers but after rebooting my screen is black and it is not posting.

I have tried doing the clear cmos by shorting the jumpers on my motherboard and nothing , I also have tried taking out the battery from my motherboard and putting it back after few minutes and nothing.

I am running out of ideas.

Can you please help me out?

full system spec? include make and model of the psu
what error did you get when you tried to install the driver before?

The full specs are:

Cpu : Xeon 1270v2
Motherboard : msi h61m p31 w88
Ram : 2x8gb ddr3 1600
Gpu: sapphire Rx 580 nitro + 4gb
Main drive 120gb ssd
Secondary drive 500gb
The PSU is themaltake litepower 550w 80+


The error I was getting is that in amd software it would detect the new drivers but when trying to install it would show a loading circle and do nothing.

When trying to install through download from the website I got the error : unable to get the installer file to launch the requested page and Microsoft defender prevented an unrecognised app from launching

My previous drivers were 19.10.1 and I tried to actualise to 20.4.1
