My screen will flash black for .5 secs, display the input method (Display port in upper right), and will make my mouse settings go way too sensitive. I've used this pc for the last 5 years, never had this until I got this monitor, even then it's been about 8 months or so since I've had it. It happens at 60mhz and 240mhz. Any thoughts?

Acer XB272 monitor
15-7600k - @4213 mhz
1060 6gb @ 1620 mhz
16 gb ram - corsair vengeance ddr4 1066 mhz
Asus Prime z270ar mobo
using iCue software for mouse/kb

I don't get how the display turning off can change mouse sensitivity. Screen doesn't have that power.

I don't think screen is cause, just a symptom or the outward sign of a problem perhaps. the end result. Did previous monitor run at 240?

Sometimes upgrading 1 part of the eco system can cause something else to go bad. Its possible it was just hanging on due to lack of change. replace 1 thing and something else decides it wants a break as well.

What PSU do you have?
Using Display Port or HDMI?

Pretty sure the last monitor was 60hz, this is the best monitor I've ever used. I've switched back to hdmi, set to 60 and haven't seen any display flickers. I also stopped the overclocking through bios.

Was using DP. I have some modular 650 psu, I dont quite remember the brand. its just as old as the build.

On a maybe-related note, I've developed popping in my headset. Its a void pro, again controlled by iCue. Windows energy setting is set to high performance, windows spatial sound is on. I'm starting to think it may be a power supply issue, I really do appreciate your help, thanks very much!

Fairly certain this is the psu https://pcpartpicker.com/product/g63RsY/evga-power-supply-120g10650xr
