Question Black screen & GPU fans going at turbo speed ?

I built my pc 2 years ago and as of 2 days ago whenever I launched a game it would just give a black screen and the GPU fans would kick full speed. I was looking it up found it may be my gpu thermal paste, did all that took it apart repasted still didn’t work. My gpu and cpu run at proper temps no overheating so could this be my power supply? I just don’t understand how this is happening all of a sudden...

my specs:
CPU - i9 9900k
GPU - Geforce RTX 2080
Motherboard - MSI MEG ACE Z390 RGB
Ram - Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB
CPU Cooler - Dark Rock Pro 4
PSU - Corsair RMx 2018 750W

Hey I see that no one helped you yet, I have the same issue going on currently, I saw a different post where a guy said that none of the fixed (checking your system, reinstalling windows, buying new psu, re-applying thermal paste and all of that didn't fix it, he said he bought a new gpu because he still had warranty and he didn't have any issues since, I recommend you to buy a new psu from amazon, if it doesn't work then return the psu and consider buying a new gpu, if you still have warranty on your card then return it and buy a new one, I know the gpu shortage is insane now but i think that might be the only way, soon I'm buying a new gpu myself when I get it I will update you.
