Question Black screen on new Windows install / new SSD ?

Hi I'm having issues after a bios update and would appreciate any advice you all can offer.

I am running a 5800x cpu with a gtx3080. My PC had been working since I built it in 2020 but I had had some stability issues and decided to update my BIOS. After I did this, I was unable to boot into windows. I can get to the bios fine but no further. I did not change anything else on the pc. I tried a few different bios versions including the one that I originally had loaded with no luck. I tried a clean installation of windows and I get a black screen after it says "Hi".

I have tried with a fresh SSD and have the same problem. I installed windows, put my account details in, and then nothing, black screen. So a fresh install on a fresh SSD is still not working.

SSD shows up in the bios. I've reset CMOS, disabled and enabled CSM, disabled XMP, disabled and enabled secureboot.

Could windows be failing to load the driver for my GPU? If so I"m not sure how to fix this since the 5800x doesn't have onboard graphics.

Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you.

Have you tried making another installer? it appears that can be caused by corrupt system files, and that shouldn't happen on a clean install on a new ssd.

what are specs of the PC?

wonder if checking ram would show anything as only other source of corruption during an install is ram

Try running memtest86 on each of your ram sticks, one stick at a time, up to 4 passes. Only error count you want is 0, any higher could be cause of the BSOD. Remove/replace ram sticks with errors. Memtest is created as a bootable USB so that you don’t need windows to run it
