Question Blackscreens in certain games, is it GPU or PSU related?

Hi!

So, just on some (newer) games i.e. FIFA23 and Cities Skylines 2 (windows), it is most certain that I will get a blackscreen, and resetting graphics driver hotkey doesn't do anything. Force restart button, open devicemanager, enable-disable-enable GPU, and all is well again. I don't max out on graphics settings in the games, but for some, it just keeps on getting a blackscreen. Other games that works but NEVER blackscreens: MS Flight Simulator, FIFA22, Steam games, Starfield (windows).

Hardware: Ryzen 7 3700X. B550M Steel Legend, DDR4-3200 32Gb, SN850X nvme, RX 5600 XT, Corsair PSU 650W
Software: latest/updated Windows 11 Pro, latest Adrenalin 23.10.2

Really looking to a minimum upgrade of a GPU or PSU, but would like some of your opinions. Thanks!

blue screen is your CPU. reset your GPU controll program to everything back to default, but make sure it is being cooled properly. if you getting higher than 70c, could be overheating. they can get dusted up fast and little air gets through. that goes with your cpu cooler also. update windows completely, click start/ settings/update and security/ windows update. maybe your mother board VGA drivers are not installed. remember if you reinstall windows install your VGA driver from your motherboard first, than the GPU drivers. Try changing your DP port cable to different connections, go into your GPU controll panel, set everything to default again and go through the settings, or try reinstalling your drivers, but make sure you do a clean installation.

Thanks, but I'm curious as to why in particular to these 2 games I mentioned, and not others which are probably more GPU demanding (?). I've done clean system reinstalls, proper GPU driver cleanups, and use HWinfo64 to monitor temps, all well below peak.

I've been doing a lil digging, and wonder if RAM has anything to do with blackscreens. Currently I use 4x8Gb dual-channel at 3200 XMP, however below indicates it can only go at 2667. Am I reading it right?

probably GPU driver related. sometimes people have to use older drivers, because the new drivers cause some conflict, some error, with certain games. not really too sure. but i know that can happen. maybe roll back your GPU drivers.
