Blank screen, while laptop/cpu is working.

yesterday when i turn on my laptop, (Sony vaio Vpceb34En, 3gb ram, i3), nothing is displaying on screen. but cpu light is on. Even caps lock, num lock lights are working and cooling fan is running.

Previously it was working fine.

i think screen connectors are overheated as my laptop goes very hot.

any suggestion what to do ? Please help me

I'm a bit confused by the term "cpu light" I've never owned nor seen a computer with a "cpu light", I'm going to assume you mean the general power light.
