Question Blinitialize library failed 0xc000009a when trying to boot from windows setup usb

Since I’ve just installed a fresh motherboard and cpu in my system, I’m trying to do a fresh install of windows 10 from an installation USB and I get the error Blinitialize library failed 0xc000009a when I try to do it.

I can enter windows 10 just fine, and I only get the error when I boot from the usb. Any help is appreciated.

Doing this on a gigabyte A320m S2H with BIOS ver F52

the windows usb is about 3 years old if that matters

3 years old Windows 10 is way too old and won't work.

Go there - https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10 and download the Microsoft Media Creation Tool (Blue button "Download Tool Now").

Start that tool on a running system. Choose create installation media and choose your USB (USB needs to be at least 8GB).

After that you will have the latest Windows 10 install on your usb. Do the same steps you did with that version instead and reinstall Windows.

Yes. I got an updated copy of windows installation media and it installed fine. Hope this helps!

I had same problem with Windows 10 1903 iso, so I tried 1909 and boots fine it's weird because never had this problem before in all my years of pc building
