Re:
It will not LAN.
3.2 Million Relationships will be ruined.
TIP: There is a cow level.
... goat level? That's just silly 😛

I guess I'm VERY lucky. My wife used to play Diablo 2 with me and my friends on a lan with 4 computers back in 1999-2001. She was good at it, too. No doubt she'd play again with me and friends when Diablo 3 comes out. Those were very good times.

[citation][nom]traviskane[/nom]Really? I've heard this argument about Starcraft 2 as well. Can't you just used a shared internet connection and play together online?[/citation]

ive heard the argument too. theyre called fanboys.

I really miss the old days when playing video games were simple, fun, and cheap. Today's video games have too many functions that make enjoying them a more complicated matter. I would like to enjoy Diablo 3 in a simple, fun, and cheap manner where I can obtain the most powerful equipment by progressing the game without having to go online and setting up auctions or making bids. I sure miss the old way!

Well, if it's anything like WoW is, then you'll have no worries. You can play the game just fine without having to resort to auctions at all. It takes a bit longer yes, but as long as you're enjoying it, who cares about the time? :)

"We’re designing a stable economy, we have the knowledge and experience to do so," Blizzard said last year.

ROFL! go check WoW auction houses

Ahh man nostalgia.. I may play through D1 just for the hell of it. And no, there was no cow level in Diablo 1.

release date announced at blizzcon? i would think so. having played this at blizzcon a little it was amazing the little things that happen. its like d2 on crack. random little events that turn into stories and solid multiplayer. this game is going to blast my little mind to pieces. goodbye productivity...

great video games are delicacies of 1000 ingredients, each affecting the other exponentially. after playing diablo 1 and 2 over the past few months, i am amazed with how well they have stood the test of time.

especially d2 with the glide patch, the lighting effects really create a great mood and suck you in. either the game was better than i remember or games today really suck.

[citation][nom]burodsx[/nom]Here's to hoping gold will have value.[/citation]

It won't. Look how much Blizz screwed up the value of gold in WoW by adding "dailies". I doubt they have learned their lesson.

D3 beta was so blah when I played it at Blizzcon. I remember thinking wow this looks and plays about as good as Titan Quest (A D2 knockoff published by THQ a few years ago). Its just so dated now, throwing prettier graphics on it won't change the gameplay.

[citation][nom]chichad[/nom]Diablo III, my wife already hates you....[/citation]
My wife wants to play it. I'll have to buy TWO copies now. 🙁

Strange because many are hopping that Blizzard doesn't change much of the game play that was established in the previous games.

Do you remember when we had a Blizzard preview of Diablo 3?

The longer Blizzard waits the quicker the graphics age. With sophistication of Battlefield 3 how will Diablo 3 feel like in your hands? The engine will surely be outdated if they are planning to release it in 2012.

I personally doubt there will be support for LAN play as it is seen absent in WOW. And even if there was a LAN support how would it work? You have a separate account for LANs and a new one for Internet? Hmm...

Ahemm.. if yours left because you played too much D2, get another who actually likes the game and plays it more than you.. like mine 😀

Meh, I think at this point blizzard is just lazy. A new trading system? Really? I don't think, especially with the supposed talented people they have over there, that it would take this much longer and this much more fog to the release just due to a trading system, which they already have in place for a game like World of Warcraft (understanding that it would not be the same, I'm just saying they've done it before).

"Crunching numbers" huh? Dont want to rush it out so as not to disappoint eager fans? Kind of too late, even without a set date, from when they announced it, it already has been a disappointment, and let's face facts, it's not like it's going to be working perfectly out of the gate anyway, there will be patches. I think all this extra time they are spending will not be paying off so much. Not saying they should release a non finished buggy game either, but I think sometimes they can go this slow just becasue they're blizzard, but also because they're blizzard, they probably could get things done a lot faster than they are with the talent they have (or should have) working on it.

Diablo 3 is going to be sick as hell! Been waiting years to get my hands on it and i such a fanboy that iv decided to create a Blog covering everything from lore, questing, item use and build orders, my main goal is to commentate show matches between the best players and teams and eventually establish some kind of tournament system! So happy \;d
