At some point blizzard needs to learn that nerfing stuff to the ground doesn't suddenly make the game more fun. The hardcore crowd doesn't need nerfs we have enough gear to farm act 3 with ease.

Casuals might play until pvp then get bored with pvp soon after, the hardcore players are the ones that will keep this game alive for years. From what i see 1.04 isn't going to make me want to start playing again.

If they bring back to the game PVP and something like the World event from Diablo II (diablo Clone) , maybe Diablo 3 will have a future . Back in the days, after 5 years i was still playing occasionally D2 because of of the fun i was having hunting the servers for the Clone, or mocking(or being beaten by) some other player in a good old PVP fight.
Diablo 3 is the same dull and boring game as Diablo 2 after you finish the game (a few weeks or months) with every kind of character and you have nothing else to do but farming and brag about how good you are on changing the routine of real life to the routine of virtual life. :)))

lol I laugh at the people who complain about this game sucking. Your the retards who went and bought it...

Couldn't wait could ya? Just had to reward blizzard with your 60 bucks only to get shat on.

How stupid.

I have to agree with most of the criticism lodged against the game. I played D1 & D2 and D3 was definitely different. I noted to my brother that even if you haven't played the previous two games D3 would feel complete which makes me think that maybe Blizzards' true focus wasn't on satisfying die-hard fans but instead pull new gamers / fans.

My biggest gripe is the poor items i keep picking up and for the wrong class too. I'm playing with a demon hunter so my rage increases exponentially each time i find a awesome-ish item but can't use it because it is not for my character. Wtf? Now i have to wait for my char to reach level 60 and only then can i start playing with items my brother (a barbarian char) picked up. Retarded ain't it?

I doubt if i will continue playing after i finish it on Hell; maybe with the monk but only because i'm curious. Nothing about the game to me says "Yeah, sit down and play this game", it's only addictive to an extent (and in the beginning of your session) because you think "Maybe this time i will get a better item" but as soon as you have spent 2 / 3 hours playing and almost developed DVT then you decide "fuck this, i'm out".

The co-op for me serves only one purpose - to get past difficult bosses you can't beat on your own. Oh yeah and to make 'friends'. It's hilarious reading other players comments on how shitty their game is turning out and then realizing "At least i'm not the only one grabbing my ankle for Blizzard"

Many considered Blizzard to have been a company that released only quality titles with great value, it was a no brainier for most to purchase D3 after enjoying D1 and D2. The next title however will likely be viewed with warranted suspicion after the huge failure with D3's re-playability that had so many flaws and only aimed towards pushing in the players into the rmah.

Maby this is what happened at a Blizzard board meeting:
1#: New report - Diablo 3 will be a short lived experience with low re playability
MM: Fire the project lead so some blame falls to them after release, the heavy servers will need to be deployed only temporary and can then be reused for WoW's MoP on launch so aim D3's death for the WoW:Mop launch. Saves server costs and also will have people bored at the right time.
Bobby Kontik: How can we milk more money out of D3 in the meantime?
1#: Lets tweak the drop-rates so no one get what they need for their class. They are then forced into an Real money auction house and we take a cut from that!
Bobby Kontik: Excellent *followed by a greedy laughter*

I've not started this game yet and I didn't play D2...However what looked cool to me is the different character classes and their different weapons/powers etc...Is that not the case? Is it not fun beating the game as say the Monk and then replaying it as the Barbarian for example?

It is pretty fun. There are at least 2 problems though. 1) Not enough randomization, which makes the seconds time more boring and easy. 2) This might be just me, but the classes feel very similar to each other, despite differences in skills. Maybe it's because itemization is pretty similar across the board. Anyways, try getting a guest pass and try for yourself.

It is defiantly fun in the beginning, however when you have done the same content 3-4 times with one character class and realise that instead of skill 1,2,3,4 you use skill 5,6,7,8 and only have the exact same content to "enjoy" over and over - It pretty much become a dull job - Not entertaining at all and the re-playability is where Blizzard have left the old Diablo's far behind and instead made a repeating short lived dare i say relative to the real Diablo's.

[citation][nom]animeman59[/nom]Playing a single player campaign with network lag is just ridiculous. After playing Normal and Nightmare, single and co-op, it just stopped being fun after going through the third time. Especially when the game just becomes frustrating, and doesn't reward you enough to have you keep pushing forward. Why in the hell would my Shaman want to use an item with dexterity? Give me health or intelligence, dammit! My friends and I couldn't imagine the hate that would be generated if we went through Inferno. Slowly, what used to be daily sessions now became a sporadic pickup game, and even then the games wouldn't last for more than an hour.Haven't played in almost two months now. Back to League of Legends, and Super Monday Night Combat.[/citation]

Dude that is why you should head to auction house and buy the stuff you need. For ingame gold of course. I no longer craft it is pointless...sell all the stuff and buy what you need.

Removing Invulnerable is a good move.
Removing Enrage Timers proves that the players were right and Blizzard admits that was stupid...this is not an MMO.
Removing MF averaging is a mixed bag. Instead of losing all your MF to 3 other players, players now had to carry someone running 200% MF.

Also, adding RMAH gets your network hacked and your customers compromised. Good job on that.

I haven't played in a month anyway, so not even sure if I care about these changes. I mean what good does it do me to have Legendary drops actually be worthwhile when I played for about 150 hours and never saw a single legendary or set item drop.

Cheng also explained that sweeping changes were coming for each individual character.

So my wizard 1 can expect to have his changes different from my wizard 2... not class changes then i take it =)

Herp derp, I knew something didn't sound right when I wrote it.

Thanks, will be fixed promptly!

[citation][nom]Ragnar-Kon[/nom]They need PVP to keep it alive.Personally... it was my first Diablo game, and it will probably be my last. Beating the game and only being level 30 didn't make me want to beat the game another 2-3 times to get to the max level.[/citation]

you didnt beat the game than, you just made it through a difficulty, the reall game starts on the hardest setting and everything till than doesn't matter at all. this is probably the first diablo where you can max a character through the process of getting to the end of the game though...

im just waiting for torchlight... but since someone mention guildwar to be good. I think i play that.

and i bet, that's the same mentality that most gamers that are still playin in d3... they are just waiting for a replacement game and that's what blizztard needs to be seriously afraid of. To be changed to a better game, forgotten and never played again and remembered in the future as a very lame game that needs to be avoided like a plague 😛
... tic tac tic tak tic tac...

Too little WAAAAAAAY too late for this already dead simplistic game. Oh well though, guess blizz can only make WoW lite games now.

And no timw03878, people complain because they wanted a fun game to play; that's what I wanted. You think I care about me giving $60 to blizz when I've made $560 playing it? luhlz...

Also blizz was really their own enemy here. If they didn't constantly nerf and tweak the game and pidgeon hole people into playing the game the way Blizz wanted people to, they could've made a lot more money from transaction fees on the RMAH. But obv as we all know now, blizz sucks.

I was hoping Diablo 3 would be about 10 times longer wouldn't have difficulty levels. I guess I was hoping for something more like "World of Santuary" or "World of Diablo" or whatever....

Eh, I'm playing it super slowly with all of the classes just got them all to nightmare so it will be a couple of patches before I get them to the end game. It has gotten a little boaring...

at this point I'm just looking forward to "StarCraft 2 - Heart of the Swarm".

hmmm... well at least the SC2 story is good a deep. but again the way they push it to be online just to play it is a crap. And they fail in pushing people to play online against others once you finished the game... I just want to play it via LAN with friends but nonononono... blizzard feels they will lose money if you dont play it online.

I wonder what stupidity they will come up with to incorporate RMAH in SC2 hahaha

They should have just instituted a monthly fee to play instead of having stupidly low drop rates forcing people to use the RMAH giving blizzard their cut of the profits. But then again a monthly fee to play would probably have brought the same results as the current drops rates have on player population.
