Hi all,
An absolute blond question.
After reading about the cheap home make RAID 5 system. I went out and got myself a LSI megaraid i4 card along with 4 seagate 320gb drives.
The old system I used is running on a ASUS a7V133 which is old, and doesn't support LBA 48bit hd.
As most of you could guess when I gone in to the bios via ctrl-M, all drives were fired up but each of them comes up as 131gb.
The bios on the LSI card was revision 1 which dates back to Oct 01.
Can someone tell me if this is the "card issue" or problem with the "old via motherboard"? I know I could try plugging the card with a drive in a newer motherboard which support LBA 48bit hd, but I don't have one handy.
Buying a new computer to run the nas will sort of defeat the cheap NAS....
If someone can point out what I have done wrong, it would be great.
Thanks a million!!
Chris
