i finally got the thermaltake blue orb and ramsinks for my evga gf2 pro, mainly because the evga HSF it came with was a piece of sh**. anyway, how can i find out what the tempaerature of the card is? and also, i messed up the thermal tape for the gpu so i only put thermal compound on (the blue orb is perfectly secure though), is this ok, or will missing the tape make it heat up?

Thermal compound is almost always better than thermal tape, just apply a very thin coating and make sure your surfaces are clean beforehand.(use rubbing alchahol or some other solvant to clean off all the thermal tape goo from whatever you are working with.)

Also I reccomend Arctic Silver, it does lower temps and is worth the small investment in a tube.(one tube should last you like 15 heatsink applications.)
