Blue screen 0x07a , please help me.

Hi , i keep getting this bluescreen.

Only when im just in windows , not when playing games or doing absolutely nothing

Here is a log type thing to explain :


crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ataport.sys (ataport+0x190CC)

I had another problem of constant freezing , but the problem resolved itself .

Looks like it could be your hard-drive. Do a disk check, (for bad sectors) Check the SMART status, there's tools that you can use to do this. (someone else can probably name them)

Do you have another HDD in your computer? If so try changing the page file to the different HDD

Your 'green caviar' SATA hard disk is going into power saving mode and shutting down.
That's OK for a storage drive - not so much for a boot drive.

+1 to the HDD suggestion, I've seen that same error many times with it almost always being the HDD.

Crystal Disk Info is a nice quick check of the overall health status of a Hard Drive.
