So I recently started playing Metro:LL again, a game which I had played in the past without ANY problems. I had taken a break from the game for awhile and decided to pick it back up, only problem, now every time I play from anywhere past 30 mins of game-play my whole system crashes and the pc restarts. My system consists of an i5-3570k, zotac gtx 680 AMP! edition, 8 GB of 1600mhz corsair vengeance pro, 1000 watt psu, 2tb hdd, 256 gb ssd, windows 7. I pretty much max out most of the setting and get anywhere from 40-60 fps in outdoor scenes and a solid 60+ indoors. The ONLY things I can think of that would have caused this issue are: my video card driver since I recently updated it, or my cpu is overheating with the new hyper 212 evo heatsink I installed. Absolutely ANY insight would be appreciated, thanks.
