Hello;

On the PC i built i get blue screen of death that is random.

It can happen 1-2 times a day or once every 3 days. No rhyme or reason.

I use vista home premium and it has an ASUS republic of games mb. a nvidia 9800gx2 video card.

all the drivers are the latest.

Here is the error message on the blue screen:

stop

0X0000000A; (0X1F42179C, 0X0000001B, 0X00000000, 0X82ZD2865)

No hardware or anything else is ever listed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

if your components NOT overheating, then most probably the problem comes from RAM. By my opinion: try downclock RAM(below default clock) and try couple of days to run your system like this, if BSODs gone then - you have defective RAM. Hope it helps.

0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
(Click to consult the online MSDN article.)
Typically due to a bad driver, or faulty or incompatible hardware or software. Use the General Troubleshooting of STOP Messages checklist above. Technically, this error condition means that a kernel-mode process or driver tried to access a memory location to which it did not have permission, or at a kernel Interrupt ReQuest Level (IRQL) that was too high. (A kernel-mode process can access only other processes that have an IRQL lower than, or equal to, its own.)

That is from a really handy stop error guide that also has great links to help you solve the issue. Clicky ---> http://www.aumha.org/a/stop.php

Apparently yours is pretty common..good luck!
