I just bought the new 2019 XPS 15 with the i7/1650, and after setting everything up and using it for about 30 mins I got the windows 10 blue screen of death, and the error message read:
Stop code: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE
What failed: nviddmkm.sys
After doing a google search, it seems to be some error with the graphics drivers (maybe)?
It soon rebooted itself and after that I ran cinebench benchmark with no problems. Its now the next day and I've ran Unigine Heaven benchmark on it and had no issues so far. But after doing a bit of research I saw that some other XPS owners have also had the same error code in the past, which was often unfixable.
My question is should I return it today (1 day after receiving it?), since the problem might come up again later? There seems to be a lot of issues with Dell XPS Laptops and since I will be starting college very soon I won't be able to deal with them quickly when I'm away from home since the store I bought it from is too far away.
Thanks in advance
