Here's the dmp files and perfmon log.
System specs.
  • OS - Windows 11
  • x64
  • What OS was originally installed on the system? Windows 10
  • Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from a retailer)? Full Retail.
  • Age of system (hardware) 3-4 Years
  • Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? Too many times to count.
  • CPU model Ryzen 3600
  • Video Card model RX 6600
  • MotherBoard - (if NOT a laptop) MSI B450 A Pro Max
  • Power Supply - brand & wattage (if laptop, skip this) Corsair 750w
  • System Manufacturer MSI?
  • Exact model number (if OEM or laptop)
  • Laptop or Desktop? Desktop
Just ask me if you need more information.
Thank you.

So what's your opinion?
This seems to me like one channel on your CPU's integrated memory controller has conked out. I say this since you've changed motherboard's, updated the BIOS on the latter motherboard and you're yet in the same predicament, while your processor remains the same. You might want to rule out your processor by dropping in another known working processor onto your current motherboard. By that I mean borrowing a processor from a friend or neighbor, not buying more parts in your troubleshooting process.

Merged with prior thread.
Oh no.
My new motherboard's last two ram slots don't work...

DRAM light goes on and the system won't boot with dual channel, only one stick. I cannot catch a break.
I have tried another ram kit and same thing happens. The last two just don't work.

Yesterday the CPU LED was on so I reseated to see if that fixed the issue assuming the screws for the CPU mount were too tight warping the board. It fixed the light issue but then the VGA light turned on and the GPU fans wouldn't spin!
Now it's either the VGA or DRAM (most of the time DRAM). I reseated the GPU and this didn't fix anything. Updated my BIOS to see if this would fix the issue but that didn't either! All of the chipset and drivers were installed after Windows and it runs great.
I don't want to RMA because I don't have another machine.
The motherboard is an MSI PRO B550-A PRO.
Oh god please someone help lol

P.S
This could just be a CPU issue like OP.
This 3600 is almost 5 years old and I need an upgrade anyway.
I tried OCing to 4ghz on this board and it failed to post.
I would like to try a new CPU before RMAing the board but it'd be too late for another month.
I'd like to troubleshoot the issues within the next week or two if anyone has any ideas if it's a defective motherboard, or, if this CPU is acting up like it was before, ie disabling C-states.

I just installed a new motherboard to see if it would help with this issue: Related Issue
However the last two ram slots do not work and produce DRAM or CPU LED lights on my motherboard. In both situations the GPU fans do not start either.
The first two slots work but I would like to have dual channel ram.
I have reseated the CPU to check for board warping which could result in the DIMMs not functioning correctly, no joy.
I have also updated the BIOS and this doesn't seem to fix the issue either.
If you see my previous post you'll notice that we chalked it down to a possible CPU glitch on the previous motherboard.
So what's your opinion? Is this motherboard dead on arrival or do I just need to wait a few minutes with the DRAM light on with >16gb dual channel installed for it to 'kick in', or simply try another CPU?

(New) Motherboard: MSI b550 a pro
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
RAM: DDR4 Corsair Vengenace 32gb (x2 16gb) | Troubleshooting ram kit: Kingstion Fury 16gb (x2 8gb)

Did you read the DMP files? I know this came from another thread I made so there might be some confusion.

My previous motherboard had no DIMM issues whatsoever and no boot issues / debug lights on boot.
It was either the old motherboard or the processor wreaking havoc on me when the PC was on. We came to the conclusion that the 3600 was having powerstate issues, ie turning off C-States for all cores as a solution.
Is this relative to the memory controller not working? Are there any troubleshooting steps I could take in BIOS to make these slots work?

Sadly I have no computer friends within a 1500km radius.
I was going to buy a new CPU next month for an upgrade anyway, so if this is the issue it works for me.

Alright. I ordered a 5600x.
Can't wait another month of pulling my hair out. 😈

One thing I forgot to mention was when I was installing the 3600 processor on this new b550 I accidentally 'ripped' it out with the cooler on it when the retention was down which could have damaged this 3600 leading the the memory lane issue. Don't ask why - three hours of sleep will do that to a person.

See you all in a few days.

Success gentlemen.
CPU's memory controller was messed up.
5600x installed and dual-channel is acheieved.

The 3600 could have been failing for years in conjunction with this and causing all of this stress diverting the issue to drivers when in reality it was a 'conked out' chip.
Though this thread is two-in-one I'll mark this most recent event as solved and later create another thread seperately if blue screen persist. Thank you everyone for your help.
