[SOLVED] Blue Snowball iCE usb type B port not working?

Hi,

I've had my Blue Snowball iCE for around 2 years now and recently the USB mini B cable provided with the mic became faulty i.e. I accidentally bent the mini B part of the cable. It still kind of works, as in, when I connect it to the mic and my pc, the red light on the mic flickers, but the mic is not detected.

So I went and got an Amazon Basics USB Mini B cable, and tried it. But for some reason, this cable didn't seem to do anything at all - the red light was not even flickering. No power. No detection from Windows. Nothing.

I thought that maybe the Mini B cable provided with the mic was perhaps proprietary, but I checked with Blue and they said it wasn't.

I'm not sure what the problem is. If anyone can help with it, I'd highly appreciate it. Thanks

It's a normal USB cable, I have the same mic and it works with 3 different cables. Try another one cable, if that also does not work, it may be an issue with the connector on the microphone.

I'm pretty sure it was the connector on the mic. I claimed warranty on it and got a new one
