Question Blue Yeti mic not getting detected at all

So a week ago i was playing some games and then i accidentally moved my hand and literally bent the miniUSB cable connected to the Yeti, after that it became really hot and it smelled like burnt plastic, I suppose it short circuted. After that i purchased a new miniUSB cable and it arrived yesterday, but now however my microphone is not getting detected at all. Nothing in device manager (no Unrecognized devices, nothing in sound, audio, etc..) not in the audio control thing in control panel, however the red light is ON the microphone, its lit up, so there is some connection. I don't receive a warning that tells me that an unrecognized device has been connected to the PC when i replug the mic cable in, nothing.

The live short may have also damaged the microphone as well as the cable.

Only way to know for sure is to try another (known working) microphone (borrow one to test if possible).
