Sup folks, hope yall are doing well.

I'm running a Surface Pro 8 paired with a Bluetooth keyboard.

everything was running smooth until I setup a dual boot with Linux and reinstalled win11 using the recovery drive + disabled secure boot.

now i can still normally connect to my keyboard and it asks for me to type a pin on my keyboard to pair and it does fine.

But when i turn off the Bluetooth then turn it back on my keyboard apparently connects but no input will be made from the keyboard, the issue persists unless I remove my keyboard from the Bluetooth devices and pair it again.

this information will pop up in event viewer at the exact same time i turn the Bluetooth back on:

"Windows cannot store Bluetooth authentication codes (link keys) on the local adapter. Bluetooth keyboards might not work in the system BIOS during startup." BTHUSB Event ID: 18

In my Linux distro however, stuff works fine after i restart the Bluetooth so that rules out the hardware problem.

What have tried:
turning secure boot back on
installing latest intel Bluetooth driver 23.30.00
installing the surface firmware update from Microsoft

any sort of help is highly appreciated I'm losing my mind.

After further investigation and accessing the old windows logs when the keyboard worked properly it seems that the bthusb event 18 error is irrelevant to the problem and not actually an error.

I installed debian on the device and the keyboard works propely on that aswell.

Another thing that i've noticed is when the keyboard is in the coma state(connected but not typing) the capslock LED on the keyboard does turn on when i enable capslock from the on-screen keyboard.

The last weird thing is when the keyboard is in the coma state a normal restart does nothing but holding the power button and causing a force shutdown fixes the keyboard until it's broken again by toggling Bluetooth or the keyboard power!

The Bluetooth keyboard in question is Brydge 12.3 pro+

Any sort of help is greatly appreciated.
