Hello, I've been having an issue regarding my setup. My specs are as follows:

Mobo: Asus B550-F
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 16gb x 2
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
GPU: RX 6600 XT (this may be the issue?) (just recently switched to 6600xt today, old gpu was 8gb rx580)
Drives: one 1tb nvme (samsung 980 pro), two 1 tb samsung ssds (870 and 860?)
PSU: Corsair RM550x

pcpartpicker

built this two years ago during quarrantine, unfortunately bought a 4gb rx 580 for $300 ; (

as soon as I put my rx 6600xt in my computer, it worked flawlessly. just swapped out the old rx 580 and worked like a charm.
While I was away for like 30 minutes or so i assumed my computer was sleeping? wanted to wake it up, then realized it wasn't responding
took little magnetic top cover off of my case, saw the bios leds keep changing from:

orange (~3 secs) -> red -> white (for 5 seconds), then loop back around.
here is video of led changing for more context

then, tried troubleshooting myself. opened up pc, reseated ram, hooked up monitor, kb+m. everything worked perfectly, so i thought it was just a ram seating issue.
came back to my room, put my computer back, plugged in monitor, kb+m. same issue happened again???

don't know what the issue is: gpu doesn't seem to be the problem -- booted up fine & posted just fine like I said earlier after i reseated ram
sorry if this post is also a bit all over the place, it's 2am and if you need any more clarifying please ask : )

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You might want to see if you can try and power your build with a higher wattage PSU, that's reliably built, borrowed from a friend or neighbor.

Did you run DDU to remove all GPU drivers from your platform prior to removing the RX580?

nevermind... it's happening again; except I think I found out what was causing it:

A fatal hardware error has occurred. Reported by component: Processor Core Error Source: Machine Check Exception Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error Processor APIC ID: 1 The details view of this entry contains further information.

i'm not completely sure what this means? digged through event viewer and found this
