Boot_Device_LED is red, BIOS freezes.

Hey Everyone, my Boot_Device_LED is red on my Asus Motherboard, and when I try to boot into the system, the BIOS freezes. I swapped all the parts out except for the Motherboard, and the CPU, and I reset the CMOS with the battery and jumper. I narrowed it down to either of these. Specs are i5 6600k, Asus Z170-A, 8 GB of 2133 MHZ RAM, 1 TB HDD, MSI GTX 970, and a Hyper 212 Evo. Also if it helps, when I put my monitor to my the GPU VGA spot, the monitor gets a signal, but when I put it to the motherboard, the monitor gets no signal. Please help

remove the gpu from system to test with onboard video also do you have a spare sata cable you could use to connect the hdd to the motherboard do this with 1 ram module in .

Yeah tried that, still doesn't work. Already tried another SATA cable, and I only have one RAM module anyway.

boot led refer to hdd that should be on sata 1 so try to use another sata port on motherboard also does you hdd is in good condition of working .

Tried that, doesn't work, and yes I tried booting up my HDD to a different PC, and it works fine.

I have an Asus mobo... Also what could have caused the BIOS freezing ?

no to me it look like board is defective let see if someone else have another idea .
