I bought an Acer Aspire AS5552 - 7474. I have looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, and looked, For the broadcom bcm94322hm8l drivers. I got the model number for the wireless lan adapter from the panel inside my laptop off the card itself but the drivers from acer ARE THE WRONG ONES.... And ontop of that.. BROADCOM DOESNT HAVE DRIVERS EITHER.. seriously.. WTF? Can someone please help me find these drivers because I can not use this laptop without wireless internet..

Thanks guys..

Sometimes the number on the device is not exactly correct.

You may already know this process, but if you don't, here it is:

Go to device manager: Start>Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device manger
Right-Click on the device that is now showing with a yellow exclamation mark in front of it.

Click the "Details" tab

Click the drop-down box and select "Hardware ID's"

Look at a sample picture below for what to look for...

DEV_MGR.jpg

go to http://pcidatabase.com/ and enter the numbers found in your hardware IDs of the device.

You will be taken to a page that shows the devices that match your numbers. Look for the device that best describes your device and come back here with the numbers so more people can help search and you too can then search for drivers using Google based on your findings.

Edit: I am currently downloading Win 7 drivers for analysis. (If we can trust that they are actually for your computer).

What Operating System do you use?

Yes, it is the same file. Exactly. I was trying HP and dells website to see who had the same device so i could just snatch their drivers but didnt really look to extensively into it. maybe that?

I found a forum in Russian, translated it and the Op has your problem. Paid Acer for the fix and was told to DL driver version 5.100.235.19. I found the driver he paid to learn about and it is for Win7 64 bit, and can be tried from...
