with only 2 cores it will be on most new high profile games.
any game that was developed on a console. really requires a tri core cpu. they will work on a pc dual, but with some limitations.
newer games like BFBC2 and witcher 2 will need 4 cores minimum as it was dev'd on pc.
if you only have a dual it will limit the gfx to 50% or less gpu usage... so not only will your cpu bottleneck your gpu will be underused also...

so if you can afford to upgrade to a quad even if its slower than the dual do so.
but try to aim for 2.4 as a minimum... then again getting a 2.2 sandy means you will still get it to run at 3.0 with turbo...

if you cant afford a sandy quad then look at an amd quad. the 955 is still a worthy cpu and pretty cheap.
