So today i got my new ROG STRIX-GTX1070-O8G-GAMING and im pretty sure is not working properly. First thing i have noticed i didnt have the right adapter cause sadly im using 10 years old monitor SAMSUNG Syncmaster 957 19 inch so i bought this vivanco hdm/vga adapter. I came home keep in mind i did not reinstall windows or anything i've been playing on intergrated gpu for 2 month with intel hd graphics 4600 drivers installed. So i put new gpu inside and it said i have no signal and then suddenly windows 10 login screen came up and i knew something was wrong cause after playing gta 5 and overwatch for about 2-3 hours my pc started to lagg hard and i had to restart it. I did installed the latest drivers form nvdia but i also installed the drivers which i got from new gpu on cd. I would really like to know what is the problem here and i would really appreciate some help.
Also here is my rig:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz
8G ram
Power supply : Corsair CS Series Modular CS750M 750W ATX 2.3
Water cooling : Corsair hydro series H100i
Motherboard : MSI Z87 - GD65 Gaming, ATX, Sockel 1150

Also i did disable intergrated gpu in bios and when i tried to delete 4600 drivers an error message appeared and pc restarted after sendind info to microsoft.

Solution
This may be a little off-topic, but it might also be worth looking into a new monitor to go with such a high-end graphics card and otherwise nice system. There are 24" 144Hz 1080p LCD monitors for around $200 that would undoubtedly provide better image quality and be able to display higher frame rates.
use ddu to wipe both intel and nvidia drivers

after that, install nvidia downloaded drivers again

it seems you bought the right adapter but is weird you had problems getting signal out of it, usually they take 2 or 3 seconds extra to work, if yours took that much to work, could be damaged that active adapter

Will try that with ddu gonna keep u posted.

Everything went to shit i tried with ddu i deleted both drivers intel and nvidia my pc restarted and for some reason i went in bios and set it to default after that my pc shut down and imidiately turn on and there were no signal at all from 1070 and from motherboard intergrated gpu. Now i did system restore from ddu but in order to get to here i had to put new gpu out from motherboard and now im afraid to put it back. Last gpu i had gtx 780 also had the same problem that i had to put it out from motherboard in order to get in bios but there were artifacts on my monitor this doesnt happen here...

Tomorrow im gonna try reinstaling windows and see what can be done.
