I played AA from about 2006-2009 and it is and always was a free game. Overmatch would be version 2.8.3 and that was the version I was playing years ago. I don't think there are more than a few servers that still run that version of the game. As in 2 or 3.

The newest version is V3 and it's available for free on Steam.

I never made the transition as I just didn't think 3 was as much fun as 2.8 was. It is a complete redesign with new maps.

If you paid for this game you got ripped off. It was always free.
