Hi all,
13700K, EVGA 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra, DDR5 32GB
Coming from Asus IPS 1440p 144hz (or 165hz OC) with Gsync (7 years old, starting to have issues)
We bought a C1 OLED 55 inch 1.5 years ago as a TV in living room and blown away with the blacks and colors, unbelievable experience.
So decided to have an OLED panel for my PC. I have a Sauder PC desk with hutch.
Got the LG C3 42 inch ($1165 included tax from Bestbuy). I am using it for the 4th day now.
GLORIOUS colors, blacks and HDR. Nothing matches the beauty of the experience in videos, entertainment and games. Flawless performance in Game Mode with VRR and Gsync compatible to on.
Size if nice (maybe a bit big for me but ok). I discovered that I can play some titles boarderless windowed (at 1440p) with complete black desktop (and no icons and taskbar). Which basically the same size of my previous 27" monitor (especially with black OLED around it like completely unnoticed being OFF state in OLED) Like Fifa and eFootball 2024. Performance with 4k and 120fps is ok'ish (with DLSS to quality in like Warzone and Cyberpunk, at full screen).
The ONLY thing, I still have around 10 days to decide (2 weeks return policy), will I be happier with ASUS Swift PG27AQDM 27" being native 1440p and much higher refresh rate of 240hz? And everything on full screen with DP available and more " formal" PC mode usage scenario?
Basically I'll be paying the same money.
One thing I like also about TVs is the glassy finish vs the silly grainy coating of monitors.
I don't have a console and I don't think I'll ever buy one to be used with a TV.
