Question Bought windows 11 VD by mistake

Hello,
I was doing my first build and realized I bought windows 11 CD by mistake instead of USB and I don't have a CD reader. Is it possible to transfer the file in a USB from an other PC ? Can I buy a cheap USB external CD reader and do it that way or it's going to think that I'm installing via USB ?

buy a usb flash drive. download the latest iso from microsoft website

The only thing you need from the package is the product key to register.

Just make your own install USB using Microsoft's tool - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11

Thanks ! So I would go on that link and download the 3rd option (Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO)) into my usb storage. Then plug it in my new build and that's it ?

Use the second option.

Download the tool. Plug in a USB. Run the tool. In about 5-15 minutes it will create a bootable USB drive you can use with your new build.

So I've put that in my external drive. All I have to do is plug it in the new computer and it'll install itself ?

In theory, yes.

You might have to go into your boot order screen and pick USB as the first boot device.

Remember after it gets installed and restarts that first time to pull the USB out.

Thanks I received everything except the GPU ... lol at least I'll still be able to install everything and make sure it works
