Hello there!
Iam here to ask you for some technical advices on an issue im having on my new (and first) pc build.
Here are the specs:
MOBO: MSI B550 Gaming GEN3
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
GPU: XFX Radeon RX 6600
Memory: Lexar thor 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz
Storage: crucial ssd 1tb
PSU: MSI MAG A660BN
WIFI Module installed also

Iam encountering permanent red cpu light but fans are spinning and their rgb is on and i have no display at all.
I tried flashing the BIOS with the latest (and also tried some older) version from the MSI Mobo support site, renamed the p60 file into MSI.ROM etc. but nothing seems to happen after the 7-10 minutes the bios takes to upgrade.
I also tried updating it with no components mounted as many people wrote on forums but without at least the cpu mounted the mobo wont turn on, so i tried with only cpu mounted on it.
I even followed a guide on removing CMOS battery to reset bios then flashed it again but nothing, zero display.
With only cpu mounted it gave me a DRAM Red light debug (obv there were no rams!) then i installed a stick of ram and it came back to Red CPU light.
Strange thing is that if i have everything mounted on and i remove all rams the CPU Led stays ON and DRAM wont turn on instead.
I've ran out of debug tries, i tried literally everything i found online.
The thing that makes me crazy is i havent seen a single output display at all and i havent figured out where is the problem.
I'd be glad if you had some advice for me people.

Thanks for your time,
Francesco.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I would breadboard the system.

Give this guide a whirl;

in order to flash the BIOS.

I would also advise on taking the processor and dropping it onto a motherboard that has the latest BIOS version to rule out your processor being the culprit.

Which 2 slots are the rams populating on the motherboard?
Hi Lutfij,
unfortunately i have no other motherboards to test on.
The ram sticks are in slots 2 & 4, but i tried switching them and also using only one stick for bios upgrading.
Now i will try to breadboard the system and give it a try.
But i think i will have to do it with the cpu at least mounted on or my mobo wouldnt turn on.

UPDATE:
I breadboarded the system with only cpu mounted on it, it gave me red DRAM light while i upgraded bios, then i mounted ram sticks and ALL THE LED WERE OFF! except of VGA because it wasnt there yet.
i thought it worked so i mounted it back on the case but RED CPU LIGHT IS ON!!!
IS that a problem of contact with the case maybe?

"RAM" is plural like fish. Do you say, I have two fishes? LoL...

RESOLVED:
It was the freakin board that handles the fans and rgbs who came out already mounted with the case...
the simple "RESET" pin inserted in the mobo got cpu red debug ON and no display...
Thanks anyway for your time guys.
