[SOLVED] Bricked GPU prevents system from booting

Hello all,
I had an issue that I hope someone faced too.

I had a problem while flashing a Rx570 (unexpected reboot during flash)
The GPU was mounted on a mining rig based on a Asus Z170A motherboard (with integrated graphics)

The problem is that now, whenever the faulty GPU is connected to the motherboard, it won't boot (even if the monitor is connected to the internal graphics and in the BIOS the internal graphics is selected as the main output).

Specifically, during the boot sequence, the motherboard has a set of LEDs related to the different components (e.g., CPU, RAM, GPU), and it gets stuck with the GPU LED on, signaling an error there.

Do you know if there is a way to make it boot, in order to try a new flash? Otherwise, do you have any recommendation?

Thanks!

I have never tried this but read about it. If you install another AMD gpu and use this as the primary display gpu while the bricked card is in another pcie x16 slot. If it works the system should boot and you should be able to see the bricked gpu and flash it’s vBIOS.
