Hi everyone, for the past 3 days my broadband has been crashing and has been unable to establish a connection. I really had no idea why this has been happening, I called my ISP and they said everything was fine on their end, it was something to do with my IP address?
All they recommended was to change the wifi channel and reset the router. (done both but it hasn't made any difference).
I have also tried changing the DHCP LEASE TIME from 1 day to 8hrs. This has also made no difference.
I recently upgraded from ADSL to VDSL (FIBRE)
Does anyone know what else I could try? My ISP wanted to charge £144 !!!! for BT to check the router and connections in the road.

Solution
if you have multiple devices connecting to your router t5hen it is possible that 2 of them may try to take the same IP causing a conflict crashing your connection, do you only use the equipment that your ISP gave you or do you have another router connected?

Hi, my ISP will only let me use their equipment. :(
The router they supplied was: Zyxel VMG3925-B10B
