Question Broke college student trying to upgrade Gaming PC

Hey guys I’m trying to upgrade this pre built gaming pc I got it’s a skytech archangel with a 1050ti in it i have a MSI a320m pro -vd plus mother board it seems to be running really slow when I’m playing games there is lots of lag and I’m wondering what I can to to this pc to make it run faster and have less lag?

Yes I have malware bytes and I tried turning everything like shadows and stuff down on my computer but it still really slow

cpu/gpu temp and usage during the game?
ram/ssd/hdd usage during the game?

Do you also have a plethora of background apps sucking up your cpu time?
