Just yesterday i got a new gigabyte motherboard. Due to upgrading from ddr2 to ddr3 and not currently having any ddr3 ram i am not able to test it.
The problem is that i set up the mobo in the case and plugged the hard drive in, i went to get some food so i just left the hdd on top on the case. When i came back i tripped over the sata cable. Due to it having a clip it didnt come out and instead it ripped the sata connecter out taking 2 or 3 of the pins with it. I wasnt to worried about this as i only need one sata connector. But one of my mates said that due to it being a circuit and all being connected together the whole mobo may not work. I disagree with him but im just wondering if you guys could give me some clarification.
Thanks in advance
